The YBB U.S. Immersion Program is an opportunity for students from China to visit the United States, in preparation for future study in the United States.
The initiative of this program is to introduce Chinese students to life, culture and academic style in the U.S. Exchange students will travel throughout the Washington metropolitan area, applying English language skills and learning about the area’s customs and culture. Students will conduct research into academic endeavors, developing a structured plan for educational advancement in the United States. Students will experience an authentic American study and living environment, through study at a local high school and home stay with American families. Students will also work one-on-one with a U.S. educator in this highly individualized program to ensure each student is fully immersed in opportunities for education.
Chinese exchange students will spend twelve days in the United States, staying with American host families and attend school at Richard Montgomery High School, in Rockville, Maryland. Students will also attend C & T Youth Technology Academy, where they will receive immersion training, including language, customs and culture. They will conduct research and evaluate their skills for study under the guidance of professional educators. Students will design an individual research project based on their particular interests and abilities, and present the final project, the YBB U.S. IMMERSION BINDER, on the final day of the their education trip.
